How to Identify Bed Bugs?
Bed bugs have a small, flat oval-shaped body and are light brown in colour and become red after an engorged blood meal. Belonging to the group of true bugs, bedbugs are known for their ability to hide in small cracks and crevices near beds and furniture. Although bedbugs are difficult to detect in the initial stages of bedbug infestation, we can still identify them. Bedbugs are approximately 4–5 mm long, and increase to 10mm after feeding. They have a pair of short, straight, backwards-facing antennae and a needle-like mouthpart for biting and feeding. They have three pairs of outward-facing legs used for crawling. Bed Bugs do not have wings.
